Coated Superelastic Wires         (return to top)

Nitinol wire can achieve complete recovery after application of strains up to 8%.  This behavior is known as superelasticity.  With the proper treatment, the wires are extremely corrosion resistant.  Various polymeric coatings (polyurethane, elastic mass, nylon, etc.) render the wire useful in a wide variety of applications.  For example, PTFE-coated wire is used in corrosive environments such as chemical industries and marine applications.  Insulating coatings such as PVC, PA, PP and TPU are useful in electromagnetic antenna products such as mobile and wireless network cards.  Peier applies the appropriate coating process (e.g., hot extrusion molding, injection molding, collar molding, spray coating) to achieve the customer's specification.

Materials available:
Core wire diameter
Range: from 0.08mm to 3.00mm
Coating thicknessrange: from 0.07mm to 2.00mm

Surface states:
Transparent
Opaque
Dull
Shiny

Color:
Available to fit customer's specification. Both color samples and Pantone color codes should be supplied.

Superelastic Induction Circle Integrated Antenna with Coating        (return to top)

Antennas commonly consist of an induction coil and a wavelength element (aerial).  NiTi offers unique advantages in the production of antennas where the induction coils and the wavelength element are made from one contiguous wire.

Advantages:
Reduce two parts to one
Eliminate the physical and electrical connection
Improve transmission stability
Save space

Materials available:
Core diameter range: from 0.20mm to 1.80mm
Coating thickness range: from 0.07mm to 2.00mm

Surface states:
Opaque
Dull
Shiny

Color:
Available upon customer's specifications. Both color samples and Pantone Color code should be supplied.

Thermomechanical Activated Springs         (return to top)

Thermomechanically-activated springs are sensor components or alert units (integrated by temperature responses and mechanical stress-strain drive), and are applied in many automatic temperature-controlled and heat-activated devices.  The performance parameters are widely engineerable according to customer requirements.

Materials available:
Core wire diameter range: from 0.15mm to 3.00mm
Spring diameter available upon customer's requirement
Spring thermomechanical activated stress range: from 50 to 600 MPa
Spring thermomechanical activated temperature range: from -20 to 90¡æ

Superelastic Springs and Coated Superelastic Springs        (return to top)
